Before I started practicing regularly at Innerstellar, I was always busy and had little time for self-care. I was going to school and working multiple jobs. 

Then I was diagnosed with a chronic condition that gives me chronic pain in my joints. I needed a form of exercise that would be gentle enough for me. 

When I started practicing at Innerstellar, I started to feel really good about myself and instead of viewing my body as weak and focusing on its deficits, I was able to appreciate how strong and resilient my body is. I also noticed my mindfulness and body mechanics greatly improved at work and in my life overall. 

Pilates & yoga at Innerstellar allowed me to re-establish a relationship with my body after spending years wanting to disassociate from it. It helped me appreciate the things my body can do! Everyday my body feels different, some days are better than others due to the chronic pain in my joints. 

Pilates & yoga at Innerstellar have taught me that just because I can’t do things in a particular way, that doesn’t mean that I can’t find a way to modify. This has been a huge lesson that I’ve been able to apply to other parts of my life.
