Pilates is a unique, potent and highly adaptable form of core conditioning that teaches you how to "beat the system" -- getting a stronger, sleeker physique and a gorgeous glow with minimal effort. Build your strength and self-confidence as you learn healthy movement foundations to release tension and pain, i.e., how to breathe better, stand and sit taller, and move with more ease. It is healing, empowering and challenging!
Every other month, we offer an Intro to Pilates Machine Workshop. In this 90 minute workshop, you will learn machine safety, fundamental movements, alignment and breathing techniques with an experienced Instructor.
This workshop is not recommended for those working with acute injuries or chronic pain.
Great for healthy students looking to bring Pilates into their current fitness regime in a more economical way. Each class combines the traditional weight bearing Pilates exercises with highly effective tension release moves using small props such as Franklin mini-balls, blocks and blankets. Learn to activate to your deep core muscles in each movement while developing muscle tone, flexibility and the self-confidence that comes from getting strong and centered. With an emphasis on releasing unnecessary tension and using efficient biomechanics to reduce wear and tear on the joints, your Pilates Mat workout will make you feel light, lifted and energized for your day.
Pilates Mat classes are not recommended for those working with acute injuries or chronic pain and private Pilates sessions are recommended..
