Chair Yoga

We’ve been in conversation with our in-person yoga teacher Allette about how we can bring her skills in Chair Yoga to Innerstellar’s people, and we are thrilled to have a container in which she can bring y’all this healing practice!

 

Chair yoga is a flexible and accessible way of practicing yoga that offers folks who have challenges getting up and down off the floor, or for whom standing is challenging or not possible, a way to cultivate strength and mobility and learn yoga and breathing tools for grounding.

 

Chair Yoga incorporates the same elements as a mat yoga practice: breath work, strengthening, gentle stretching, breath work, modified yoga poses, and relaxation.

 

Depending on the student’s needs, the entire session may take place sitting in a chair, or the chair can also be incorporated for support and balance in standing poses.

 

Allette offers Chair Yoga in her virtual AND in-person one-on-one sessions.

 

In-person yoga calling you but not sure where to start?

 

Calm: The Yoga Intro Session is a 75-minute in-person one-on-one session designed for folks returning to their in-person yoga practice after social distancing or those ready to start a yoga practice for the first time.
