Forrest-Inspired Yoga classes are deeply healing yoga practices, based in part on the work of yoga educator Ana T. Forrest. These classes can be gentle or more challenging and are adaptable for folks with disabilities and injuries. In every class you’ll deepen your breath, wake up your abs and feel your legs. You’ll also learn to slow down, feel inside, listen to your body and develop more self-respect, awareness and compassion.

This is about building your strength and flexibility AND learning how to connect to your heart and embody your Spirit.

Our in-person classes at Innerstellar are small and intimate, taught in a quiet room with no music.

A typical 1-hour class may include:
• Check-in, names and pronouns, gathering of props
• Short yoga philosophy teaching
• Centering/Setting Intent
• 1-2 Breathing Practices
• Postures including warm-ups, core work, sun salutations (sometimes), standing poses, hip stretches, twists, etc.
• Relaxation & Rest Poses
• 1-2 Minutes of Self-Reflection and/or Meditation

Innerstellar’s Forrest-Inspired Yoga teachers are trained to use their energy, words and hands to help you learn to steady your nervous system, release stuck energy, and find new expressions of each pose for your healing and comfort.

We pride ourselves on creating a trauma-informed, empowering, inclusive community learning environment that is explicitly welcoming to folks with marginalized identities, including people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ folks and BIPOC.

Join us for a single class or an entire 8-session series.
