When pushing yourself doesn’t work anymore

So you want to strengthen your core so you can reduce back and neck pain, avoid injury, keep going on hikes, taking dance classes and playing with your kids or grandkids as you get older.

And conventional “fitness wisdom” says if you want to get stronger, you have to push harder.

Maybe that worked for you when you were in high school and your coaches pushed you at practice, and you felt and saw yourself getting better.

Or maybe it NEVER worked for you. (Hi! That’s true for a lot of us.)

Either way, we’re willing to bet it DOESN’T work for the body you have NOW.

We know - the messaging is everywhere so OF COURSE you think that your body would be stronger if you just worked a little harder or did a little more…

… But then you re-injure yourself.

Or you burn out and have to take a break for your own mental health.

Or you feel like you’re making progress in your workouts, but somehow it’s not translating to more comfort or ease in your day-to-day life.

Or you feel yourself building tension and dealing with pain in NEW parts of your body.

Here’s the thing: our bodies aren’t built to be pushed and pushed as we get older.

Instead, you need to learn to bring your breath and attention to your body, so you can release tension and increase the INTELLIGENCE of your deepest core muscles - muscles that tend to SHUT DOWN with over-effort.

It’s an online coaching container with Marisha Doan that’s about going deeper, not working harder.

It’s about managing your pain while building a relationship of deep respect with the body you have now.

And we start in March.
